Corsa Disappointment

I have the sport on my 17 and it has zero drone at any speed or rpm. It did have a weird sound to it when I still had AFM active but it wasnt really a drone, just a very noticeable change in the sound since half the cylinders are missing.

In fact, just cruising along at say 70mph or so, you cant even hear the exhaust. It sounds just like stock. It's when your on the throttle that let's you hear it and it sounds good.

Is there anyone running Dynomax mufflers? Curious to know if there is any drone issues.
I had a dynomax VT on my 01. It had none but it also wasnt very loud.

It used a similar valve as the k2xx trucks use. Except its inside the muffler. You can see it from the inlet.

Get a tuner. The range devices and the like are a waste in my opinion.

A tuner will give you much better results for not a whole lot more money.

I highly recommend a diablosport intune or trinity and a custom tune from Lew

I really want to ride along with these systems that drone.

I had the best chance for drone possible and still had none. I added long tube headers and had the sport. Was crazy loud on acceleration, but no drone at all. Now have the touring and no drone. I added a resonator to tone down the volume some.

Be interesting to see how the drone sounds like and if it's only the DB systems. Becasue having had now 2 totally separate trucks with the sport systems and the touring swap on my truck, neither had any semblance of drone.

So I wonder if the db system is the cause.

My sport muffler only had one hole in it. The touring I bought from corsa had 2.

I asked corsa about it and they said they change designs so the touring could be different than what I've seen, which was the one hole and then perforations.

So just becasue one muffler has ome design and the supposed same muffler is different, doesnt mean it is in fact a different muffler.

And I got mine direct from corsa so I know it was the right one. I thought they shipped me another sport since I was looking for the perforated end like I've seen online.

The pop is there no matter what exhaust you have.

Mine did it on the stock exhaust, corsa sport, headers and stock, and now headers, corsa touring and resonator.

It's really a pop with the headers.

This is my truck with headers and the sport muffler. This wasn't quite full throttle, but pretty close.

Note, my truck is not as loud anymore. It's now just a tad louder than the sport was on the stock manifolds.

Yes, before the headers mine was a pop.

The headers totally change the sound. But I can assure you, the pop is normal and they all do it. My father's 2018 which is stock motor wise, and a corsa sport does it just the same as my truck did.
