Got home from our spring break family trip. People have gone whacky. What is the deal with hoarding all the TP??

Dude.. its insanity at it's finest. :( I don't get it either.. I dropped by the store yesterday for a loaf of bread and coffee creamer and noted a BUNCH of bare aisles (including all the canned goods and soups and stuff). People are acting like the world's coming to an end.

Sadly, it's really just harming everyone else. The selfishness of humanity.. Take everything for me. Let every man fend for themselves. Lame.

The stock market thing is wild to me.. Mass sell-offs and whatnot. I'm like.. why would you do that right now? Now is when you buy. They are on sale! hah.
Selling your stocks off while the market is tanking only makes it worse, AND now you officially have lost money. If ya ride it out, you still make money.

One of the finance folks I listen to always makes me laugh by saying this... "The only people who get hurt on rollercoasters are the ones that jump off."

Freeking crazy. I was at Walmart last night. Not one roll of TP in the whole store. Today, I went to another one and nothing. Went and bought my fishing license and came back and they were bringing some out from the back and people were grabbing it out of the boxes befor they could even get it on the shelves. Every cart in the store had TP in it. Disinfecting wipes, bleach and rubbing alcohol are all gone too. I got my stash of TP and over 1000 rounds of ammo, so don't come to my house looking for any.

I almost expect to go to the gas station and see people filling up empty milk jugs?

I saw that both Disney World and Disneyland and closing. That has to be millions upon millions in profit loss for them.

What is the government doing with the 8.3 billion the allocated to this thing? Buying up toilet paper and toilet seats for $800 a pop???

LOL, Baseball shutting down for at least a month, Nascar, NCAA tourney, NBA closing it down. If this affects the NFL, then things will really be bad.

Yep, with all the sports shutting down and no one willing to sit ass to elbow in a theater, I would think Netflix and other streaming options will be good investments.

Yeah man.. NHL and PGA Tour is all put off. Here I was thinking, "hey at least I can watch hockey at night and golf on the weekends while at home." So much for that.. :(
I guess I get it though.. we want everyone healthy. Even our sport athlete entertainers. hah.

Not sure why they don't play the games without spectators. Especially like Nascar since the players (drivers) don't come into contact with each other.

Well, if the sky is falling, hoarding all that toilet paper isn't going to help much.

We went to Costco and Sam's this morning around 10:30 for various things. We didn't need much or buy much. No lines, well stocked, open registers, no hoarders. The meat case at Sam's was a little thin but there still was plenty from which to choose. Costco had mountains and mountains of cases of water. Both places had pleny of toilet paper. No busier than any other Saturday morning.
Costco had someone out front wiping down the cart handles and handing everyone an extra wet wipe or two. All employees at both stores were wearing latex gloves.
No lines at Sam's gas, either. Paid $1.72 per gallon.
I was expecting the worst and was prepared to leave if it was too bad, but we were in and out in no time.

All stores near me are wiped clean for the most part. The wife of my service writer at work had people break the locks off the doors at the grocery store she works at this morning.

Goes to show how Ill prepared and selfish people can be in the blink of an eye essentially. Pretty sad really, but not surprising.
