(i was going to ask this in tires but i think its more of a gear thing)
I had a flat today and drove around on the spare for a bit.
i remember reading that different brand tires or even the same brand with different levels of tread wear will cause excessive wear on the differential.
I was wondering if this would have the same negative effect on the front axle as well? my truck is a 2009 4x4 and the hubs don't unlock they look like they spin the gears in the front differential all the time.
i was able to fix the flat but i was wondering if i could get away with running a different brand (same size) on the front?
