so under our dash on the driver side in between the brake pedal and accelerator pedal you will have a LG module which has the two antenna plugs going into to it which I believe one is purple the other brown and one connector with multiple wires on the other end. What you want to do is unplug the two antenna plugs and then unscrew the two small torque screws that are located between both plugs. Once the torque screws are removed grab the ports where the antennas plug into and pull out you will end up with the onstar module/chip in your hand. Now the onstar buttons will be completely off and the truck will not try nor have any communication with on star at all.
