I have recently bought a 2004 extended cab Silverado with the 6 speaker Bose system. The previous owner told me the driver's side speaker needs replaced and that was the reason it was not working. I bought another Bose speaker to replace it with and had no luck, it is still not working. Every other speaker plays but the drivers side door.

I was wondering if the factory radio could be causing this problem?

Also how are the wires run from the speaker I am hoping it is not a broke wire but that is what it's looking like.

Thanks,
Dalton

More than likely the head unit is still good. It could be the Bose amp going out or a wire is pinched somewhere. I used to work at BestBuy in Car Install and got this all the time. Sometimes a panel was reinstalled wrong by the owner and wasn't careful of where he was jamming the wire bundles into.
