Were does the final adjustment of the system take place? If the system is designed to automatically adjust, there would have to be a reversal process at the brake locations when new pads go in.
E Brake
I just replaced the rear shoes on my 2008 Sierra 1500. Now I can't get the rear cables close enough to the main cable to hook them back up. I know I am missing something. Thanks in advance.

Everything I have found says that the E brakes adjust at the shoes. I don't understand how this works.
Automatic cable adjuster is built into the Ebrake pedal assembly.
My question is, how do I get enough slack on the cables to hook them back together.
