2001 Silverado 1500 Z71. Started bucking like a mule, and stalling. CEL came on, and code is Bank 1 and Bank 2 lean. I want to start with the easiest things first and try and do them myself so I checked the fuel filter. The truck has about 148000 on it, and the fuel filter looks like it is the original one (I just got the truck 6 months ago). The fittings and lines are rusted and I am afraid to break them loose because they appear in such bad shape. My question is, If I do break them, is there an easy repair outside of re-doing the steel lines from the tank forward? If so what would you recommend? I realize that the fuel pump is probably suspect also, but in either case the filter will need replaced. Thanks for any advice.
