They did come out with a VHO and Vortec Max option for the Sierra and Silverado 1500 which had a lot of heavy duty options but it wasn't a HD. Biggest differences were the LQ9 6.0 instead of the LQ4 in the 2500's, 4l70e trans, 14 bolt rear end with a locker and an increase towing capacity. Some came with 4.10 gears. But it's still not an HD. It still has a 1500 frame and the trans is still a 4l60e with some upgraded parts.
It's one of the sad thing that happens to most people... as kids they have fun and are happy, but once they grow up they can't take a joke, think too highly of themselves, and they become grumpy! View attachment 953791
Someone posted earlier that for 1500s it's a moot point cause all of them are considered Heavy Duty these days... and then snowflake posted that just because one has the towing package it doesn't mean it has a more heavy duty booty.
So, it's OK to laugh every now and again... you should give it a whirl, it's lots of fun!
