I’ve been searching the internet for answers and this forum has helped a lot so I’ve decided to join. I own a 2001 Silverado 1500 LS with a 5.3l engine. I purchased this truck needing a new transmission and gas tank (yea someone drilled a hole in the tank because times are tough). I opted for a reman transmission but decided on plastic welding the tank shut since I got quoted another 5k to change the tank to a “used” one. With every measure of precaution taken, the weld was a success.
Really glad I got the z71 because I plan to haul my 21ft Travel Trailer to go camping along the coast and installing the brake controller was a breeze. I just picked up a WDH to help with towing as well. A lot of great info on here so I appreciate any info that’s provided as I’m currently dealing with a horn issue that’s driving me crazy.
