How can I remove Rain-x

I am in Central Virginia. There are times when the humidity is high and windshield temperature is below the dew point - say I am leaving to go fishing in the morning or coming off the river late in the evening.

Worst times are when driving at night in the rain or when driving into the sun (early or late), the wipers smear and leave a thin film.

Brand new windshields on two cars and both with new wipers. The rain-x came from washer fluid left over from before the new windshields.
I hate it, never again on windshield, it leaves tiny - microscopic water droplets when the wipers are used and reduces visibility during nights with the combination of headlights coming at you-rain- wipers working. other windows not so much.

Also, sometimes at night the smear makes it hard to see with oncoming car lights.

I just washed them twice with Dawn, will try to report back.

So, the truck had Rain-X washer fluid? I’ve used Rain-X washer fluid many times and never had any smears. 🤷‍♂️ On fact, I think I have that stuff in my truck right now and the windshield is nice and clean.

Also just yesterday treated all of the new glass shower enclosures in our house with Rain-X. We’ll see how that works. Contractor offered to “treat” them for 200 or what ever extra bucks. Yeah, no thanks.
My understanding is new shower enclosure glass already comes with protective coating, I'm going to put a shower curtain in side the glass enclosure to protects the aluminum and glass, even if is a clear curtain.
