We ran our oils based on bearing clearances at that time which all manufacturers are running very tight bearing clearances no argument just stating what I have learned and if it was wrong it was wrong

Low speed pre ignition has been a problem with any engine even the Corvette engine That's why they're specking in oil without the low speed pre ignition issues it's not just for 4 cylinders never mind let's just drop this and everybody run what they want it's easier that way

No call me out that's fine I have no issues with that but there's no way that a 30 weight oil is thinner than a zero weight oil it's impossible it's like a milkshake versus a glass of water it's not possible Read Rat 540s blog all the way through then you can call out whoever you want but you're wrong I hate to tell you there's no way a hot 30 weight is thinner than a zero weight oil. 5w30 flows slower than 0w20

It's all good I'm just going by what I know and what seems to work the best for me so everybody's going to have a different answer me I used to street race and build motors I'm on the side of rap 540 He's doing this for himself by himself with no one paying him and he's posting his results so I tend to believe him a lot more than any other people but that's just me you guys can believe what you want and not starting any shit

They designed the engine, did you. I use what they recommend. And would not differ from that. They spec it for a reason, no just mileage. You can use 20w 50. It not my motor. My 18 runs like a swiss watch 4000 mile oci with good 0w20

You can't use an 0w 40 in a 14 and up truck. It's too thick to flow though the lifters and with any piece of debris, pop goes a lifter. Not even 0 w30 for that matter
