My truck idols at 500 RPM but makes a slight noise and goes up a neeedle width and then goes down. Any one have this occurrence? Is this normal? I have the 4 speed automatic in the 4.8 on my 2012.
but to answer your post - way too many variables involved. My first guess its the AC compresssor kicking on which could jump the RPM up a little bit at first.
drive it, and when SES/CES light comes on..then youll know somethings up
^^^^ My guess too, specially being winter. Turn off the defroster and see if it still does it, even on partial defrost the HVAC will cycle the AC compressor.
Probably going to get a lot of these posts this time of year.
