Inside door handle

I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab and the inside driver door handle doesn't open the door. I have to roll the window down and open the door from the outside door handle. I haven't really checked anything yet but if anyone knows of this and what part I need to order would be appreciated.

I would suspect one of the little plastic clips that holds the rod on the door latch or on the pull handle has broken. You'll have to pull the door panel to verify.

I'll do that and let you know, I just watched a video on replacing the cable and they mentioned those clips your referring to. I thought it might be the little ball at the end of the cable but I'll know for sure when I get the door panel off. Thanks for the info.

If it is an 07+ model and looks like mine, then it will be a cable for the inside handle. Like Gary mentioned, best to pull the door panel and find out what happened then order parts if needed. You could need an inside door handle itself if the plastic that holds the ball end on the cable broke.

My experience is on the SLT trim handle vs the standard truck trim handle though.

I had my handles fail to open the door once, couldn't get out of the truck. Drove home, pulled up to the house, my wife opened the door and it never malfunctioned again!
