Hey guys , i own a 2015 sierra with the base instrument cluster. It does not show v4 to v8 mode. The other day I noticed that the 2016 base cluster looks identicaly the same, except I see gm added the feature of being able to see v4 / v8 mode in the average fuel economy screen.

The question now is , can I have this feature on my 2015 with just a simple re-program of my body control module or instrument cluster ?

I have a 2015 Silverado LS and the V4/V8 mode is shown in both the Info/fuel economy and Info/Trip screen, these are the only place I know of where you can see it.

Rather than spend money trying to re program your dic. I would buy a device to disable the afm

The system on my 2017 WT is very smooth and undetectable and I can see possible benefit of disabling the feature.
