I ordered a Volant CAI for my 2013 Silverado 5.3 RCLB. I know intakes don't add much, if any horsepower, especially with out a tune. I was wondering if it would make my truck sound better, or at least louder. When I 1st bought my truck 2 weeks ago it was so quiet I had to pop the hood to make sure it had a V8, I am eventually going to install long tube headers and an exhuast, and eventually a tune. I'm hoping the intake will improve my MPG a little and make it sound better.

It will definitely have more of a growl from under the hood, when your on the gas pedal! As fas mpg's don't expect much of a increase if any, because you'll be pressing the gas a lot more to hear it growl! :D Some members say maybe .5-1mpg increase maybe if you drive like an old man...
