Is a K&N Air Filter worth the money in a 5.3?

It only works better if you install the sticker.

But don't forget the filter will make your exhaust louder!

Anyone who thinks k+n filters dont work are really ill informed. They are a reputable company and have been successfull for many years. I have used them on more than 15 applications and they proved beneficial on every one. I'm confident I'm gonna see the same result on my 05 Silverado. Never any quality issues, never any variance in performance day to day. Very durable. Love their product. Anything less than a positive opinion is slandering and should be reported to k+n for review of content and evidence
Lolz. Are you putting your truck on the dyno before and after? There is zero benefit from it other than not having to replace it.

We aren't I'll informed. We just realize it's a marketing gimmick.

I'm sure you enjoyed playing with their little flow bench contraption on the auto parts counter didn't you?

Let's see your dyno runs with that 5ph gain from a drop in filter? 5hp in a truck is negligible. And it's even small enough to be considered as a dyno error.

And yes gm did send out a sb over oiled filters causing transmission shift issues.

A drop in filter doesn't improve performance. Nor does a cat back. On post 90s trucks.

Lol yeah. I have the intake that they use in those "15hp" gain videos.

I didn't experience any gains.

You realize most of us on here are speaking from real world experience messing around with various configurations and parts.

Lol.

Also street speed 717 is a local guy to me. Everyone hate him. He does nothing but make click bait videos, that run was altered for YouTube hits and for him to get money from cai

Again.. I have that exact same intake, and truck..

If you bought a cai that cheap my bet is it's the open box one. Which WILL be less efficient than your stock box.

But before you turn this into another circus. I'm out. Enjoy your 5+5=15 mods.
