I have a 2012 GMC Sierra with chrome front and back bumper that I am thinking about plasti dipping black along with my rims. Just wondering if plasti dip was any good ?

Plasti-dip is a very good and durable way to black out anything on your truck.
I have had my lettering dipped for over a year and the plasti-dip still looks like new.
Plasti-dipping grill and bumpers will get mixed reactions here.
Some love it, some don't.
Personally, I don't like the blacked out grill and bumpers. In my opinion, it makes the truck look like a work truck.
But if you like it, go for it!
Like I said, it's good and durable. A lot of guys even plasti-dip their wheels and it lasts on rims for a good long time too.

It's good for what it is, but it doesn't replace paint. It is durable, but be careful when cleaning it. Some wheel cleaners can eat it, and the slightest chip with peel off with a pressure washer.

Check out all the youtube vids on the stuff. That will keep you busy for days. There are several members here that use it with great results.
Like Daly said, it is not paint. But unlike paint, if you don't like what you just did you can peel it right off.

Alot of people including myself have used it on their bowties on here..I've had great luck with it just make sure you put 5-6 coats on the front as it will take most of the rocks off of it.

I did my front bumper in plastidip. I like the looks.

Plasti diped front bumper black

Biggest thing is to make sure bumper is CLEAN. Scrub the crap out of it then use alachol. Allow to dry completly. Tape off. Spray 5-6 light coats. I allowed 30 minutes between coats.
