So I replaced the knock sensors on my 2002 Silverado 4.8 a while back. Didn’t use GM so having to redo them with GM sensors. Well I can’t get the sensors out. The top spins but not the sensor. Any ideas on how to get them out that doesn’t require potentially messing up the hole or anything else around the sensors? This is my only vehicle so I have to get this done quickly

I’m trying to find an extender for the sensor to screw into so I can put one on driver side by manifold so it’s not touching the manifold but not having any luck

I was able to get both of them out. Had to get the back one out then take the valley plate off, weld a bolt to the front one, and then unscrew it. Cleaned everything up and put pan back in then put new ones in with new harness. Have drove it 4-5 times around 40 miles so far and no codes.
