You pulled the relay for the fuel pump and the truck still runs?
But I normally just press the little valve in the test port and let the pressure relieve. Just cover it with a rag or there's a chance you'll get sprayed with fuel.
Yeah - totally bizarre. I pulled both the fuse and the relay under the hood that says "Fuel Pump" and the thing starts and idles. For a minute or so...didn't want it to get hot.
Nevertheless, went ahead and just cracked the main line and let it drain. No big deal.
