Dumb question, but pulled fuel pump relay and Fuel Pump Fuse...truck runs.

Installing E85 sensor...

I usually just use a rag and small screwdriver to push the middle part of the test port down to let the pressure off.

You pulled the relay for the fuel pump and the truck still runs?

But I normally just press the little valve in the test port and let the pressure relieve. Just cover it with a rag or there's a chance you'll get sprayed with fuel.

Yeah - totally bizarre. I pulled both the fuse and the relay under the hood that says "Fuel Pump" and the thing starts and idles. For a minute or so...didn't want it to get hot.

Nevertheless, went ahead and just cracked the main line and let it drain. No big deal.
