Left front impact sensor wire broken

I have a 2012 Sierra. The air bag light won’t stay off. I found the problem. One of the wires from the fuse box on the fender well to the front left impact sensor is broken. My question is what is the fix. The system seems to be real sensitive to splicing and I don’t want to get into changing the entire harness with multiple wires.

GM recommends just a single splice in those wires (per wire), so at the broken spot you could re-join the wires at that spot, or if that makes it too short, you can replace either side of that circuit with a new wire/appropriate crimped connector that is slightly longer, then join them, or you can replace the whole wire, with the right crimped connectors on each end.

And for the impact sensors, you MUST make sure the wires remain twisted around each other for the sensors to work properly.

charm.li will have wiring diagrams and a bunch of info on how to repair wires. There's also a bazillion youtube videos on it.
