When I start my truck up it don’t tick until it’s been running for about 5 minutes then it will tick for 10-15 mins and then stop. Also on the start up my oil pressure won’t go past 40 psi which is fine, but I can floor it and it won’t go over 40 until 10 mins after driving. Then it will do fine and build pressure when I floor it. not sure why it does this? Thinking maybe oils getting clogged somehow.

maybe describe your truck, mileage, how the engine was running before the problem (like is it also burning oil, low oil pressure, fouled spark plugs).

It’s got 240k miles. It don’t burn oil, spark plugs are already getting replaced, oil pressure sits right under 40 psi till it’s driven for 10mins. Nothing ever been wrong with the truck so nothing majoe has ever been replaced

It's not if you are replacing the plugs, but are the old plugs fouled at all? This is to get some kind of idea as to the engines overall condition.

And what happens to the oil pressure after 10 minutes (after it gets hot)?

I’m glad you made the same thread three times.

Btw if it ticks for 5 minutes then quits after heatingup it is probably an exhaust leak
