I saw something here but can't find it again, it was about changing the oil pump and pick up tube o ring by going through the timing chain cover. Any help would be appreciated and any how to videos you could suggest. Sounds easier than removing the pan???

Great video, thanks! It's my son in laws truck and he is going to replace the sending unit tonight, just looking for what to do next if that doesn't fix the problem. He starts it and oil pressure is 40 but shortly drops to 0 and the alarm sounds. He can let it sit a bit and start it again and the same thing happens. He said there is no noise of any kind so hoping its just the sending unit.
