Not sure on these trucks, but had a similar problem in one of my previous vehicles. If the whole glove box handle is gone you should be able to access the levers the handle would grab to open it. They should be on the top or bottom of the opening and you should be able to get a finger or thumb in there to release the arms that extend into the dash thus releasing the glove box.
