I am the 2nd owner of my 2005 Silverado SS. I purchased it in January 2023. The truck came with:
-Fully built 406 Stroker
-Built 4l80
-Built transfer case
-Summits s480 80mm turbo
-Walbro 255 (lol)
-TBSS intake manifold
-Aux trans & Oil cooler
-Random other goodies

Things I’ve added to it:
-AGP s480 76mm wheel and t51r mod
-Methanol kit for a total of 18cc spread out over 4 nozzles. 1 in the turbo volute, and 3 in a pre-throttle body coupler.
-Hinson dual 450 pumps with -8 feed and return
-Radium FPR-damper
-Radium fuel filter
-Holley fuel rails with brackets from GAP
-Boost gauge
-Wideband

Future plans:
-AC and heat
-Window seal replacements
-Lighter wheels and bigger, stickier tires

I bought this truck out of Florida with 300k (!) miles from a performance enthusiast. His dad drove this truck for work, and the paint and body confirm that. He went through a couple iterations of power levels, engines, and transmissions before finally deciding to sell it because he didn’t have time for it because of his other projects and several other cars. He put between 750-1000 miles on it in its current form before selling it to me.
The truck needs some love. The body is banged up but I love it and it’s a perfect sleeper. I won’t be doing anything cosmetic for the foreseeable future. I currently have a new front diff in the garage that will be going in soon. It needs AC because you can’t survive the Vegas summer without it. I had a more aggressive cam installed and the turbo died on second street pull while tuning. The previous owner had an oil restrictor smaller than a coffee straw on it. I took advantage of that and replaced it with a much higher quality turbo with a slightly smaller wheel to decrease spool time.
The truck was getting 6mpg when I first got it. It turns out that the fuel map was based on rpm. It makes sense for a supercharger but not sure why they used that for this application. I am going to get a retune later this week with the new turbo. I’ll be getting a 91 tune, as well as an e85 kill tune. I’m shooting for no less than 1000awhp. Here’s a pic dump.

That fuel pump hole makes me cringe, I hope you didn't do that. Lazy asses.

Sweet truck though
**** yeah I did. I did it after the tank was out. I want quick access to change pumps and check for leaky AN connections. I had to completely empty my tank to get it back in, and I’m sure as hell not taking the entire bed off by myself. You call it lazy, I call it efficient. Let’s see who can change their pump the fastest 😎

what fuel system is that? i see threaded fittings,i could use something like that.
does it fit into the stock tank? as in, any modifications needed or drop in and run new lines/wriing?
Link?
It’s dual 450’s from Hinson Motorsports. You can take the stock basket and surround it to keep fuel around the pumps and keep the level sender. They have an entire harness that’s mostly plug and play. You just have to transfer the trigger wire and both sender wires to a new plug, and then battery connections. Really nice kit.

Forgot these.

it comes with a Hobbs switch if you want to stage your pumps but I skipped that.

Finished installing the fuel system last night. I ended up putting the FPR-damper on the firewall, and it resonates a bit, but I actually like the sound of a fuel pump and similar noises. Running 58psi of fuel pressure. No leaks in any of my lines (for once), just at the fuel filter at the -10 ORB fitting. Have a serious amount of fuel running through it now.

Used the old evap port (I think) and fitting and ran it to a vacuum block so I can supply the boost gauge, FPR, and meth controller with a boost reference. This truck is essentially a spare parts build with stuff I already have laying around from other projects, so I used a 6 port collector block for my meth setup. Some of them are pressfit, and the line to the turbo is 4an. I used a 7gph nozzle directly into the turbo, and went with 2 4gph nozzles in the coupler. I may offset them in the future so they don’t spray directly into each other, but they are high quality nozzles and it probably won’t be a huge deal. It’s nice not caring how it looks. I just want to tuck wires and hoses so they don’t break, but other than that, this isn’t a show truck and it’s nice to route things the east way vs making it look pretty.

In typical fashion for me, not every went smooth. The front cam seal was not doing its job. It was installed last week by a shop in Vegas. The turbo died while street tuning so I just drove it home and it didn’t leak enough to notice. I had the truck warming up following the turbo break in procedure and noticed a large oil puddle forming. It was like a light switch. Alt he cover was a little wet, but as soon as the truck was warm, it started pissing oil. Going to get a dial indicator on the snout too. I don’t suspect anything wrong, but it looks funny to me. It didn’t have any issues with the last cam but better safe than sorry.

The truck came with the largest muffler I’ve seen on a truck other than big rigs. It still sounds nice. Decently quiet on startup but grumbly when you press the accelerator. Cam isn’t too choppy, and was hoping for a little more.
I bought a 3” cutout just in case it can add hp, plus it’s fun to make a little noise sometimes.

Previous owner made an interesting choice in the exhaust.

The Y is pointed the the front and capped. I’m not sure if thats hurting it, but definitely isn’t helping. So I’m going to cut it there and run this eBay cutout.

Tomorrow is going to include some fab work to make space for a proper filter on the turbo. I can’t find a single filter for a 5” opening that’s stubby enough to fit. I’m going to cut into the rad support and reinforce it with some square tubing. I’m going to pull a support from a truck in the yard and design a tubular support and integrate a bracket for a larger intercooler that I have laying around.

I would keep an eye on that wrap if this is a daily (didn't catch where you said you were from) as it can and will trap water and rust the pipe out. A ceramic coating would be better.

Looks super badass and sounds even better.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I’m from Vegas and it’s 1 of 5 cars so definitely won’t be a daily. I have heard of rusting issues. I used high temp paint on top of it so hopefully that will help.

Alright. So after my truck got broken into, I’m still forging ahead. Junkyard today to see if I can replace some parts, obviously not with SS stuff.

It revs pretty quick! That is through the muffler because I haven’t supplied power to the cutout yet.
for some reason both of the fuel pump relays died. I replaced one with the horn relay and it worked fine. Must have shorted somewhere and cooked them? No fuses were blown.
