Hey all I was rooting around under my hood and found a bracket behind the battery. Looks like something should be attracted to it anybody have any ideas? I am thinking maybe it was something used on the older engine that didn’t make its way over to the loo? Also any of you guys that have the refresh know how to turn off the rear door lock. Truck will be unlocked I get out the rear passenger doors are always locked. Make matters worse the older gen had the door lock button on the handle they didn’t put it on the refresh or maybe I had a package on the old truck I didn’t get with this one. Welded to cab parts?
Maybe used on one of the gas engines?

Those circles parts look bolted to the body and whatever bracket is behind the battery, not welded in place.

As for the rear locks, that sounds like safety info that will be in the owners manual if it's a configuration thing (vs something that needs to be fixed).

I think that the door lock options can be changes under the vehicle settings section on the infotainment screen. A lot of the factory settings can be modified

Do you have the child safety lock feature? Should be explained in your owner's manual if you do.

Are those under hood brackets for an optional circuitry for a dual battery set-up?

Took a look at child saftey locks looks like there off, not so much a problem just curious, and not sure it def does look like it would be for a dual battery set up almost looks like somethign is missign no big deal just was curious if anybody took a look or seen it before,

Not really sure, it seems like there should be something mounted to that bracket, unless it’s a spot for dual battery or something that was used for the lm2 engine and they just kept it in there, bigger issues on the horizon threw first check engine emissions code..

My LM2 has a module there.
It is a 21 built October 2020

This internet pic suggests a glowplug module -- but the part number on module isn't the same as in the description

2021 LM2 -- don't know if module is for LM2 or some other option.

Intresting I’ll have to see if I can get a pic of any other lzo engine and or look up a parts Fischer when I have time

Coincidentally I just post about this in another thread. I have a '22 refresh with LM2 (Built August '22)

I have the bracket with the studs but I have nothing attached. Do we know what that module is for? I would assume I still have that module but it was relocated on the refresh w/ LM2. Apologies on the picture being so dark.

When I was disconnecting my battery the other day, my socket extension touched the stud and sent sparks. If there is nothing attached, I think I want to replace it with the plastic version. My BIL has a 2020 Silverado Custom w/ 5.3 and his is plastic without the studs. I don't want to take the chance of shorting something out since it's so close to the negative terminal.

I just had mine in for service and I didn’t ask them I should have will put it on my list at first oil change had to be a part that got relocated

The part number shown on that module comes up as a glow plug control module.
