Well Nathan, you stepped in it now.

I don't have the 6.2 and I am only repeating what I have read on an internet site called SilveradoSierra .com

Talk on that site says the 6.2 get lousy MPG. So bad the MPG is not even listed on the dealer invoice on the window sticker. Also it is rummered to only run on 93 octane fuel. The crew cab is recommended because when you punch it, you end up in the back seat due to the acceleration factor. (Extended cab is optional). You mentioned in your post that you are not concerned with MPG, so this could be the engine for you. I hear the 6.2 gets 15 around town if you don't punch it and it is rummered to get 18-19 on the open road. I don't say this to discourage you. I want one myself. If you get one, you know the rules. Pictures or it didn't happen.

On a side note, from what I have read and I hope I am wrong, 2015 will be the last year for the 6.2 engine. The rummer is that there won't be a V-8 by 2020.
