So I was driving my 06 Silverado 1500 z71 earlier and all the sudden I lost gear power. Wouldn’t grab 1, 2, 3, D, or R. So I got it towed home it’s on the trailer now. I tired transmission module reset where you turn the key press gas and turn key back then release gas. When I do that it will go into any gear but when start driving it goes back out. I have never had any trouble with the transmission. No slipping my four wheel drive is on the floor and has always worked. So I’m trying to figure out what is going on and whether or not it’s maybe something like a solenoid or something not too major. The fluid is full. Any suggestions for thins to check would be greatly appreciated.

Your transmission needs to be rebuilt. It has reached end of life in both years and miles. It is a tiny bit shy in miles, but certainly past in years. The o-rings inside the thing are hard as rock. Just fix it now and be done with it.
