Today I noticed this hose hanging down about midway of the truck underneath - any idea what it should be connected to?
Also - my skidplate on the front is broken. Anyone know how to look this up on rockauto.com or similar sites? I searched but couldn't figure out what category to look under.

Thanks in advance,

Chuck

PS - I'm sorry if this in the wrong place, wasn't sure where to put it.

Welcome Aboard!
The hose is the transmission vent. Should be routed along the top of the transmission. You could put it back up top and zip tie it to a harness.
GM calls the plastic piece "Shield, Engine", the part number is 22781371 and costs $27.87 at the dealer.

That thing won't shield the engine from much! Bunnies and squirrels, maybe....
