How would I "burp" my cooling system? I recently changed my water pump and now it will not blow any hot air but it will blow cold ac. Could burping the system be the solution to this?

It is a 2000 Silverado 5.3 which doesn't have the radiator cap like the 2003+ and up I believe

What I did first was flush the heater core and hot air started to come out and fixed the problem. My guess is there was some air in there or it was clogged up

I checked if mine was opening and closing and it was working how it should
