Back on the forum after a few year layoff.
I am currently considering the purchase of an OBS truck more of a daily driver.....with a V8 these things got about 12 Mpg combined which makes me wince a little bit.
More than likely if I am blessed enough to find a 5 speed manual transmission I'll pick one of those up.
In a perfect world during the restoration process I would like to add some improvements to increase gas mileage and hopefully get it to 18 Mpg.
My thoughts were headers, exhaust, intake manifold, 1.6 roller rockers and then apparently they make some type of an engine computer tune as well.
Does anyone have some real world advice here?
