Just picked up a brand new truck that has these on it (LT245/75/17). What is the overall consensus on these tires? Are they worth running a while or should they be dumped immediately for a better tire? I really don't need to aggressive of tire, but have always been a Michelin guy and will eventually be putting on Defender LTX m/s tires on this truck.

I have the OEM goodyear Wrangler's off a 14 and they look similar to the firestone tires you have. They are fantastic if you do not need traction in snow, wet grass and drive on dry pavement at all times.

Go ahead and do a brake stand to make them bald and get your michelins.

I wasn't waiting or taking any chances - especially with winter right around the corner. Got 4 new Michelin Defender LTX M/S 10ply LT245/75/17 tires...Should be good to go for a long time!
