Step stool helps. That’s what I usually use.

I noticed the local Quick Lube has funnels that screw on like the oil cap does. I don't know if they are readily available or something marketed to them?

I’m using a “fill tube” from a 2019 Silverado 5.3, you (I) still need a funnel but it does correct the angle. I’m going to get the funnel linked above to see if that’s even possible/better. I figured I was willing to gamble the $10.15 USD to find out. The pictures are deceiving, mine didn’t come with a oil cap.

 

I think that's the part# of the fill tube I am considering. If I'm not mistaken it's designed for a newer truck than mine/yours, but can be modified to work for our trucks🤷‍♂️

 

Put a piece of fuel line, garden hose or ?? on the end of the yellow funnel.

 

I got this thing on etsygram or some such - it was a high temp 3d printed funnel that securely sits in the oil fill, and it provides a longer offset neck that a funnel will positively sit within. Its all press fit, but, it works well.

It's getting to the dipstick that aggravates me. What's with the spiral design and not easily readable either.
