Got about 500 miles now on my 2023 Chevy Silverado 3.0 Duramax and thought I'd check the oil. Noticed it was just above the high level on the dipstick. Anyone seeing the same on these from factory? Granted it was on a slight incline in my driveway but it was about 1 hour cooled from the last drive like the manual says. Any thoughts or concerns here?
Yep. My 2023 GMC SIERRA SLT was above the full mark. Pickup Truck plus SUV talk did a video about this and apparently GM ships these trucks with an additional quart of oil. I keep checking my oil level and it hasn’t changed in the first 1000 miles.

When I checked my level it was a quart over.
I’ve got a couple of 100+ mile trip’s coming up in the next week or so. I’ll report back on my oil level situation. I know the LZ0 has steel pistons and a thicker steel sleeve that’s pressed fit into the aluminum block but don’t know about the piston ring material, design or looseness. This may have something to do with the extra oil for breakin.
