GET it fixed SOON the knock is telling you ain't got nuff oil going were needed. You have a bad "O" ring seal on the pick up tube to oil pump. best way to fix is remove oil pan and remove the pickup tube (one bolt) then get new "O" ring.
If the old "O" ring looks good you will have to replace the oil pump which entails removing the water pump, Harmonic balance pulley, timing case cover. the the oil pump.
I replaced my pump which came with new "O" ring. Gaskets were separate cost? With pan off a good time to inspect other moving parts the have been moving with out oil flow also.
