I use it at a 1 can per wheel rate, so 1 to 2 cans sounds about right. Plus gloss if desired. To have a real good thick coat. You don't want it paper thin or you will get bleed thru of the chrome and when you want to peel it off it won't fight much. A thin layer is harder to remove.
