My rear diff is dying and was thinking of an upgrade. Its an open diff with 3.73 10 bolt pattern.The reading I've done have left me more confused than ever. I would like to upgrade to something that can do almost everything in general from some off road,winter driving, and regular driving. I considered the g80 since my Z71 didn't come with it but I'm reading it's has been prone to failure. Also there's some debate on whether or not it's a full locker or limited slip. I've been reading about the 3 types of diffs the open,limited slip and full lockers. With all this info it's hard to make a right choice. Btw I need to make one that is going to last.

G80 is just fine for typical driving, but there are definitely better/stronger aftermarket parts out there.
