So I'm having this issue with my 04 silverado. When accelerating at greater than half throttle my rpms will not jump up, just a gradual increase. So for example I floor it no drastic change in rmps just a slow increase.

Now before I start throwing parts / tuner at it I want a second opinion.

I already have purchased plugs as its standard maintenance they just need to be installed. Could this solve my problem? Or should I be looking at my throttle body?

Whens the last time you tuned it up or cleaned it ?

Could be just dirty parts. Throttle body, maf sensor, air filter, plugs , injectors.
All of the above easily performed with the plugs being the hardest.

MAF was cleaned earlier this year, air filter is K&N cleaned with every oil change. I have not cleaned my throttle body kinda why i singled that out in my op. Same goes for injectors, but Im leaving that for the absolutely last item to look at. Having to replace injectors would kill me.
