I am installing a 2.25 level and new wheels and tires. I have chosen the wheel but i'm unsure of the size (mainly because the offsets). I am looking at a 18x9 with either 18 or -12 offset, a 17x9 with a -12 offset, or a 17x8.5 with 0 offset. either a 285/70r17 tire or 285/65r18 tire. So my question is will any of these work without rubbing? I would prefer the 17x9 but I'm not sure the -12 offset will have clearance. So any input would be appreciated.

17X9 with *12 offset and 285/70R17's are going to rub when turning especially in reverse due to the weight transfer >>> a small amount of trimming may take care of it >>> I run 265/70R17's on 17X9's & - 12mm offset with not much rub

The 18x9 with +18 offset with 285/65/18's will your best choice, to have proper clearance without rubbing.

i have 18x9 with 5.5 back spacing running 285/65/18 nitty trail grapplers, i have the 2.25 leveling kit also. no rubbing at all.

vdub your truck looks good! Thanks for the help. I've decided to go with the 18x9 with 18 offset and 285/65-18 tire. Method Standards for the wheels just gotta narrow down the tire choices now.

Subscribed. I'm also planning to use a 285/70/17 on a 17x9 -12 with 2.5" level soon. I'll post the results when I make it happen.
