Hello, I currently am trying to install a new valve body in my 8L90 Equipped 2020 Silverado 1500, and I have noticed that some Valve bodies have this sort of fork/arm on it in listing photos, though none I have seen with actual images have this fork/arm. Does somebody have any idea of what this arm is for? Is it for a certain revision? Any info would help, thanks!

Looks like the detent lever, that rubs against the notched shift lever plate. The two combined give you that sweet ratchet feeling as you move the shift lever through it's positions. It appears to bolt onto/through the valve body. I would not expect it to be included with a replacement VB, you would just move it from the old one. I suppose it might not be present if it is a purely electric shift model (if you have a knob or up/down buttons instead of a shift lever).
