On a 2001 Sierra, I tried using a fuse tap to hookup the reverse lights on my new style tow mirrors. My problem is that the reverse lights on the mirrors are always on, except for when I turn the truck off. How can I fix this?

by tapping into a fuse or power source that only has power when the truck is in reverse.

Where did you tap in? at the bcm?

VEH B/U Fuse 15a or TRLR B/Ufuse 10A

They shouldn't stay on, unless you tapped into the wrong fuse.
