just a 2" leveling kit if you add anything to your rear end you will still have factory rake. It is up to you u can do this or a 3.5" RC kit with new Upper control arms for like 400 bucks and since your 2wd you can actually do this http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-2012-GM-15 ... 2d&vxp=mtr

this will not put extra wear on your suspension components. and will make a much more comfortable ride then putting added stress on your components. wish i was 2wd to get this kind of lift for so cheap...4wd you have to use the 3.5" leveling kit to get this kind of height because you have to drop your axles n it pushes out the front track width and gives requires axle extenders...
if i were you id go with the spindles...ask AirWolf on this sight its what he did.

it will still look good brother. its a 3" kit u will need rear wheel spacers for the back axle...because the spindles make the front track width wider then the rear. so u need 1.5" or 2" spacers to make up some axle length in the rear. The ebay kit is all you would need the reason airwolfs is different is he made a 5" kit by using the 3" spindles and a 2" leveling kit ( which i believe he switched to bilstein adjustable shocks) a 2" leveling kit will be great to just stop your rubbing issue. but if your looking for a little bit meaner look id do the spindle and again the ebay kit is 100% all you need shocks would still work front and rear id ask airwolf to be 100%...but otherwise the only difference is the 2" leveling kit will put your upper control arm lower control arms pitmas arms and sway bar linkage at more stress the 3" spindles only put your lower control arm and lower ball joint a little more stressed because u dont relocate the angles of them.
