I'd use one of the diesel specific additives. Some of the top products are optilube, hotshots, and power service. But there are a bunch more as well that people use with good results. I personally use optilube xpd at every fill up.
It's not a fix all. If there is something that could benefit from it it can help. It won't miraculously fix broken items. It can clean out carbon which could be reducing your engines efficiency but that's it. I've used sea foam as a fuel stabilizer in my motorcycle with 94 octane 2 years (was injured and could't ride) and the thing still ran amazing after those 2 years.
