Shark Fin Antenna Leak

I replaced my shark fin (On-Star/XM) antenna a few days ago. All is well so far, but when I damaged the old one, there was some damage to the truck roof at the hole where it mounts. I think I got it all back in place pretty well, but I am always skeptical of leaks and I know the shark fin is one location that has been a problem. Where should I look for early leaks when we get our first rain around here? Will it run down the A pillar, front windsheild, through one of the visor mounting holes, etc.......

I just want to monitor it close during the first few rains to make sure everything is good before I wind up coming out to a big disaster one morning.

Why wait for the rain, go at it with a vengeance the garden hose. If it leaks you'll be able to fix it before a week long rain.

So, where does the leak usually present itself if the leak is coming from the shark fin?

Pull down the head liner to check while you are doing the hose thing. I thought it was fairly easy to pull head liner down just enough to observe?

Yep, I pulled the headliner down and put a dark colored rag up between the headliner and the mounting hole and sprayed it good with the hose from all directions for 3-4 minutes. No water marks on the rag at all. I think I am good, but I will keep an eye on things for a while just in case.
