My Sierra needs a new U joint.. it only has 6.7k on it. Could there be something loose? Or can u joints fail this quick?

My experience is that things like that fail pretty quick, because of defect, or last almost forever. Not much in between ground most of the time.
Should be a warranty item shouldn't it?

Yeafaulty parts, thats why they have warranties. My moms regal had to be completly torn down at 8k because it had a faulty engine part, hopefully they make it as painless as possible.

Sorry. And it turned out to be my exhaust hanger that was causing the clattering.. *Face Palm* It was broken and loose.
