Hello-
I bought my son a 99 GMC SIERRA 1500 5.3l Everything seems to be going wrong-
We need new spark plugs and wires and I have no clue what to get. Hoping y’all could help us out. Thanks!

After you do that, type in "spark plug" in the part search box next to the vehicle description. Then select "spark plug" and "spark plug wire set" and click on "Display Parts" on the right. The screen will now show you ignition wire sets that depend on the numbers written on the coils. Have your son get the numbers off the coils and match it to the right one here.

What seems to be wrong with the truck? Does he have access to a scan tool or code reader to properly diagnose this thing?

Owner's manual, specifications section. Or go to rockauto.com and put in your make, model, engine, and drive-line. Also, AC Delco has a rebate program going on right now. I got $3 back on each Iridium plug.

ACdelco or NGK. Rockauto is a good option for ordering parts.
