Purchased spyder halo projector headlights for my 2001 chevy silverado. Purchased better quality low and high beam replacement bulbs(philips crystal vision ultra). High beams simply fit where plug and play, but the low beam projector is another story. There is a rubber boot over the projector and don't know if I can remove it without breaking something. The rubber boot has the plug that will work for pickup power source but what is underneath and will the philips high beam bulb even work? Thanks in advance for ANY input!

I just installed my Spyder lights on Sunday. I put HID in the Low beam projectors & Philips X-treme vision in the High beams, which is a little more work than just switching the bulbs out.

The bubs are changed just like any others. Make sure you are using H1 (what spyders take) Not H11 what is factory bulb. THe rubber boots just slide off, unlock the metal holders, take off the connection, pull out bulb, hook up connection to new bulb and secure back with metal clip. Push rubber boot back over. Pretty simple actually.
