SilveradoSierra of the Month for September ‘25!

Where did summer go?!

We’ve all taken pics of our trucks. Which one is your favorite of your truck?

Let’s see it!

Submissions will go thru September 26th with voting thru the end of the month.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Competition Rules… please read the rules as they may have changed.
  • You are limited to one entry with a maximum of two photos per member, per month. Once you submit your two pics, no substitutions, revisions, or additions will be permitted without Admin approval.
  • The winner will not be allowed to enter the final voting for another SSotM competition for two (2) months (you can play along and showcase your truck but will not be allowed to win again for two months).
  • Minor image corrections to compensate for camera variations are permissible but any photos that have evidence of excessive re-touching, lighting effects, color saturation, or Photoshop work could be deleted. Cropping to showcase your truck is allowed.
  • This monthly contest is strictly limited to showcasing Silverado and Sierra pickups (and older C/K GM trucks). No other vehicles may participate.
  • Entries are allowed during the first three (3+) weeks or so of every month, at which time the entries will be placed into a poll for the final voting to determine that month’s winner. The poll will be open until the end of the month when the winner will be announced. (All dates are tentative as we are all volunteers here and have jobs, families, and other responsibilities, too, and sometimes things don’t always go as planned.)
  • Please do not comment on other members’ entries. You may include a comment in your own entry only. Extraneous comments will be deleted to keep the contest on track. If you find an issue with an entry, comments, or pics, please feel free to PM any Moderator or make a Report.
  • If the Moderating team feels there is any indication of manipulating the polling results to determine the winner, any participants suspected of bamboozling the results could be banned from the website for 30 days and barred from participating in SSOTM for the current month + the next 12 months.
  • We want to see NEW pics for each entry. Entries consisting of previously entered pics could be deleted.
  • Staff Members will choose the ‘SilveradoSierra of the Month’ theme each month. We are always open to, and encourage, suggestions. WE NEED SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE!!
  • Moderators reserve the right to delete entries wherein the pics do not comply with that month’s stated theme, or other reasons such as poor image quality or inappropriate images, etc.
  • In the event of a tie vote, we will have a tie-breaker vote to determine the winner.

  • A few photo tips:
  • A) Enter two pictures. Different angles are great.
    B) When taking your pictures, take multiple pictures of each angle. You may find some shots turned-out better than others. Post the best two shots.
  • C) Feature your whole truck, bumper to bumper. Regardless of the theme, the idea is to feature your Silverado or Sierra.
    D) Keep true to the theme. If necessary, explain the reasoning why you feel the pictures meet the theme.

  • GOOD LUCK!

I retired from the US Army this past week.
2003-2025
I packed up supplies and went up north to get out of the big city.
Mother Nature is the one of the few I still love.
Lost my mom, my brother, my 2 dogs, my best friend and in 2022 got a Dear John letter while I was Iraq ..
Some days it takes all my strength to keep going.

I have toys, like my 2014 Silverado pictured here on US Highway 89A just south of Flagstaff.

My toys help keep me happy.

well i was in the reserves, so retiring isnt the same as active duty. Although all my time spent on active duty reduces my wait time, I still have 10 years before i see a pension. So, BS i know.

@bk2life Wow, a rough period for you, for sure. Hang in there. Enjoy the great outdoors. Congrats on your retirement and thank you for your sacrifices for this country.

Thank you for your service, and thank you for my freedom. I'm sorry to hear you sacrificed so much during your time of duty to this Country.
I just lurk here, mostly to learn stuff, but I had to type in on this one.
My late Daddy was WWII veteran of the Battle of the Bulge, 285th Eng. Batt. My stepson and his wife are active duty USAF, and my other stepson retired from USAF.
I ride with the PGR, so again, thank you. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Enjoy your truck!

Unfortunately now, anybody that doesn’t vote for @bk2life may be labeled as a filthy commie… :sneaky:

Another beautiful sunset, as the lights go down,
Silverado LT, cruising home from town.

Summer soon fades as the Fall air arrives,
Days grow shorter, and the darkness will thrive.

As the days come to rest, so do the trucks we endure.
Love em or leave em, part of our lives for sure.

Silverado LT, you have been a great friend,
Memories alas, albeit failures the trend.

Shine on! Shine on! Silverado LT,
Have enjoyed many days, with just you and me.
