im thinking about straight piping my 08 5.3 Vortec. Good idea or Bad? and does anyone know how they sound?

I just checked youtube and it seems like you have some options there to listen to. I know sometimes the sound isn't the best but it's worth a shot.

I know that you have to disable the AFM or else it'll sound like a Jake Brake

My son in law just straight piped his 08 5.3. And I think it sounds like crap.buy a good name straight throw exhaust,a much better way to go.the AFM on those trucks makes a straight pipe sound like crap.but that's just my two cents
