Swap out trailer hook-up for 12v outlet?

This may be a dumb question but here goes.

I recently got this truck. It has a gooseneck hitch in the bed plus an added hookup to plug in said gooseneck. I know 0 about trailers and trailer accessories

I won't ever be pulling a gooseneck. Are these things a fairly standard size? Can I just pop this out and install a covered 12v outlet there?

I don't think there's a "standard" 12V plug, as for something like that, it really depends on how many amps the circuit you plan on connecting to it will need...
There are trailer ends for 7 pin plugs that have a 12v outlet built in, maybe they are available for 6 pin plugs

If you’re talking a single 12v socket type outlet you will need to determine 12v constant or keyed power.

^^^^^^^^^^^ And what exactly do you wish to power? You would be limited to the amount of current load. Maybe some LED inside bed lighting - no problem.

This does not show the diameter of the cut out hole needed. I suspect it is larger than a standard 12v outlet.

Looks like these use a 1" hole. So you can pop out the curt plug and measure what yours is.

Or use something like this with a face plate.

Thanks for the ideas so far
I don't know what I'd like to power. I just know it would be more useful to me than a trailer plug I'll never use
