Hello, first time poster.

I just bought a (New to me) used 2015 Silverado 2500hd 6.0l, 4x4. It now has about 31,000 miles on it and an oil change will be due in a few weeks.

I tow a 20' cargo trailer with this truck to make my local deliveries. About 150 miles a week. 10% of it is highway, the rest stop and go.

I'm looking at converting it to a full synthetic oil, not a blend. Any suggestions?

Thanks, and I really enjoy this site!

Stick a good named brand oil in it and don't worry yourself to death about it.

I don't think there are any conventional oils that meet dexos spec so if you want to go my what gm says, you'd need at least a semi synthetic.

I run synthetic fluid in everything. Diffs, engine etc. And that's in every vehicle I own. Even lawn mowers.

I'm a fan of pennzoil platinum for the oil and a Fram ultra filter.

But really you can't go wrong with any name brand full synthetic and a good filter.
